is "indoor" air pollution? (Part 1)
air we breathe is a mixture of gases
including nitrogen, oxygen, water, argon, carbon dioxide and
trace gases. It becomes polluted from chemicals and particles
that build up in the air from many sources.
are relatively easy to identify. Pollutants from the exhaust of motor vehicles…from
the smokestacks of utility plants…and from the products of combustion
of all structures, residential homes and commercial buildings alike. Whenever
we use our gas or oil fired heating systems…yes, even when we burn logs
in the fireplace, we pollute the air.
not so easy to identify. Sources of some pollutants are well known. Things like
(1) Tobacco smoke (2) cooking and (3) hair sprays. Less well known are things
that are generated within the home like (4) mold, (5) fungus, (6) mildew (7)
dust mites (8) lint (9) carpet fibers (10) stains and finishes on wood work to
say nothing of the (11) pollen and (12) bacteria we may bring in on the dust
on shoes and clothes. The list is almost endless.
Different types of
air pollutants affect our health in different ways but almost nothing gets past
the new Lennox PureAir ™ air purification system. Using a combination
of Ultraviolet light and innovative filter technology, it captures and destroys
particles as small as .3 microns.
This Lennox Industry
exclusive air purification technology is the only single system to attack
all three classes of indoor contaminants:
(pollen, dust mites, pet dander).
(Bacteria, viruses, molds, fungi).
(cooking smells, tobacco smoke, pet odors).

Breathing is not a matter
of choice…breathing clean air is!
