| Before we discuss Preventative Maintenance, a brief review of the difference in Warranties and Preventative Maintenance may be in order |
| |
|
| |
1. A Manufacturer’s “Limited Warranty” covers specific parts (i.e. Compressor, coil, electronics, etc.); therefore, it is limited by the language in the warranty. |
| |
|
| |
2. An Extended Warranty. Extended warranties usually provide an additional 5 or 10 years of parts and labor coverage and are usually available from the manufacturer only at the time of the purchase of equipment. |
| |
|
| |
3. Planned Service Agreements (PSA). Planned Service Agreements provides the maintenance required to (1) keep your warranty in effect (valid) and at the same time (2) prolongs the life of your heating and cooling equipment as well as maintaining peak performance of your system. By cleaning and checking the various components of your system on a regular basis, problems can be found and corrected before they become detrimental to your home comfort system.
