55 Years How much will it cost to keep warm this winter?

Homeowners face dramatically higher fuel bills this winter. The issue of The Virginian Pilot on June 29th, 2008 confirmed this by announcing that, effective July 1st, Virginia Natural Gas Co. would increase the cost of natural gas for home heating by a whopping 35%. It also stated
that Dominion Power Co. Merry Shermanwould increase its rates by 18%. A double whammy... a fuel
increase and a power increase.

Crude oil prices soared to record highs this past month and are now more
than double the prices of just a year ago (exceeding $140.00 a barrel). Small wonder, then, that our newsletters this year have concentrated as much on the care of HVAC systems and their efficiency as on the traditional emphasis of “comfort, health, and convenience”.

The average homeowner in our area spends just under $2000.00 on energy
bills annually. This would translate to an approximate annual increase of $600.00. At the time of this publication, there appears to be no end to these soaring energy prices. In fact, just the opposite, for this does not take into account any other circumstances that may disrupt distribution (i.e. hurricanes, etc.).

Climatemakers offers several ways to make sure that your HVAC system is as “energy efficient” as possible this winter. We offer the most comprehensive “tune-up and check-up” of your heating system available, not only in our area, but nationwide. This is not an idle boast; the details of each of the 32 things we check for in the winter tune-up (and the reasons for checking them) are posted on our website www.climatemakers.com for anyone to see and compare.

Take the first step by ordering your tune-up NOW! Be sure that your heating system will be
operating efficiently and at its full capacity this winter. This will also aid in prolonging the life of your system. Your savings of up to $60.00 will start immediately.
