HOT
TIPS
(When its cold outside
and its cold inside too!!)
- Is the thermostat set for heat (set point higher
than room temperature)?
- Is the emergency switch "on"?
- Is the fuse blown or the circuit breaker tripped?
- Is the fuel supply "on"?
- Is the pilot lit (gas) ? Are you out of oil?
- Is the filter clean? A dirty filter can cause unit
to trip out on high limit.
- Is there a reset button on furnace? If so, reset
it.
- Are the supply registers open?
- Is the return vent(s) unobstructed?
- Remove all flammable objects from around
your furnace and water heater. Boxes, clothes, paints,
aerosols, gasoline should not be stored in this area.
- If the furnace and water heater are in an enclosed
room or closet, be sure there is plenty of air for
combustion.
