Word-Of-Mouth
     Every company understands the importance of "word-of-mouth" advertising. What they sometimes fail to understand is that there are two kinds. Positive (which helps grow their business) and negative (which does just the opposite).

     It's a given, that people believe what their friends and neighbors say about things, and this has existed as long as mankind has communicated about goods and services. The question is, what are they saying?

     While "Word-of mouth" advertising is FREE, and good referrals are worth their weight in gold; cutting sharper than any two edged sword is negative "word-of-mouth" advertising. And never doubt for a minute that people won't readily talk about unsatisfactory service. Consider this:

     When my husband received poor service at a local computer store, he not only hasn't gone back there again but he readily tells others of his unpleasant experience. Imagine the results when the next time he's working out at the local "Y" and someone says "I need to buy a new printer and he replies "Any place but ..…."! Instead of losing one customer, they might lose 5, 10,…?
